The constellation behind this stele
Auriga — The Charioteer
A constellation of the northern winter sky, visible October through March. Its principal star Capella is the sixth-brightest in the night sky — a yellowish binary system about 43 light-years away. Auriga lies within the winter Milky Way and contains the open star clusters M36, M37 and M38, all visible with binoculars.
