The constellation behind this stele
Aquarius — The Water Bearer
A zodiac constellation of the autumn sky, best visible August through November in the Northern Hemisphere. One of the oldest constellations, recorded already in Babylonian sources as a water-pouring figure. Its principal star Sadalsuud is a yellow supergiant about 540 light-years away.
In early May the Eta Aquariid meteor shower appears to radiate from this constellation — debris of Halley's Comet.
